ENGL-121-B01 Topics in Postcolonial Literature: Speculative Fiction from Southeast Asia

Monday and Wednesday 3:00 to 5:50 PM online (Zoom)

We will read novels and comics mostly by creators from Southeast Asia or of Southeast Asian descent that blend speculative fiction or science fiction with myth and fantasy as well as history and politics. No prior knowledge or familiarity with speculative fiction or Southeast Asia required. Fulfills requirements 2c or 2e for the UCR English major.
